Delighted for GMIT to be shortlisted as a finalist for six National Education Awards 2018. The award ceremony will take place in Dublin, Ballsbridge Hotel on April 19th Teaching and learning development initiatives shortlisted as a finalist under two categories: Finalist Student Engagement and Communications Award GMIT offer a range of Student Engagement opportunities with a focus on building a student-centred learning environment. From first year to final year, students engage with: a welcome programme; a first year skills module; a student led learning PASS programme; career clinics; a community engagement module; Step Forward class leader training; an employability toolkit; and wellness initiatives. Finalist Best Student Experience Award GMIT provide a range of learning and teaching development initiatives with a focus on building a student-centred learning environment. From first year to final year, students experience a sense of belonging and gain an opportunity to develop: learning and innovation skills; peer learning leadership skills; community collaboration skills; and an entrepreneurial spirit.
